Since 1990, PT Expo China (PTEXPO) has been witnessing the development of the ICT industry in Asia and across the globe. Over the past two-decades, it has become one of Asia’s largest and most influential ICT events, honored as a weather-vane of the industry.

PTEXPO never stops adopting and changing along with the rapid growth of the ICT industry. The event’s original focus on telecom technologies and equipments has been amplified to embrace all sectors of the ICT ecosystem, celebrating the convergence of IT, ICT, Mobile, Consumer Electronics, and Entertainment.

From telephones, cables, personal computers, wireless communications, to next-generation ICTs like 4G/5G, SDN/NFV, IoT, Cloud Computing, Big Data, Smart City, Connected Car, and AI. One thing has not changed is that PTEXPO always presents most cutting-edge products, technologies and solutions of the time, continually making a significant contribution to ICT applications and innovations.

During the course of the history, PTEXPO has been recording an increasing number of exhibitors and attendees, in addition to a greater diversity of industries. The event started with a collection of devices manufacturers, then mobile operators including all in China, and eventually gathers Alibaba, Ericsson, Fujitsu, Huawei, Intel, LG, Microsoft, NEC, Samsung, Nokia, Siemens, Potevio, ZTE and many more global ICT key players. It sets a benchmark for overseas companies stepping into the ICT market in China and Asia.

PTEXPO’s conference program ICT China High Level Forum went through a similar path. Today, it is a critical occasion where new ICT products, research results, lists, and official white papers are released.

As hosted by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People’s Republic of China, PTEXPO gains unparalleled and continued support from the government, and has welcomed many high-ranking officials like Chairman Zhang Dejiang of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, Vice-premier Ma Kai, Then Premier Wen Jiabao, Then Premier Zhu Rongji.
